Account Manager
to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. The role involves managing client expectations, providing quality products, and delivering knowledge-based solutions. The goal is to increase market share and profitability by cultivating client trust through daily account oversight. Key Responsibilities Sales: Update clients on new product offerings and market trends Exercise value engineering when interacting with clients Collaborate with the Marketing Department to provide updated materials and information to clients Identify opportunities for ancillary products and additional services Respond promptly and courteously to client inquiries and requests Be available for face-to-face meetings and other necessary communications Share the Empire story and promote the company's resources Highlight the capabilities, knowledge, and expertise to clients Anticipate and prepare for client needs Understand the competition for proper product positioning Negotiate with vendors for discounts to increase profitability Practice strategic relationship-building Carry out forecasting and strategic account planning Be available and willing to conduct onsite meetings and space measurements Sales Process: Act as the liaison throughout the sales process Coordinate actions with the Sales/Account Coordinator or Project Manager Monitor reports such as waiting, unbilled, or aging Mentor Junior Account Managers, if applicable Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 5+ years in the furniture industry; dealership experience preferred Ability to read blueprints, CAD, or construction drawings CAD or CET experience Knowledge of Steelcase furniture Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Experience with Hedberg for quotes Strong communication skills (written and oral) Excellent customer service skills Effective conveyance of ideas and information Highly motivated, persistent, and skilled negotiator Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines Works well under pressure and in team environments Motivational skills to inspire others
