Account Manager
to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. The role involves managing client expectations, providing quality products and solutions, and increasing market share and profitability through building client trust and overseeing accounts. Key Responsibilities
Sales: Update clients on new products and market trends. Exercise value engineering during client interactions. Coordinate with the Marketing Department to provide updated materials. Identify opportunities for additional products and services. Respond promptly and courteously to client inquiries and needs. Be available for face-to-face meetings and other communications. Promote the Empire story and showcase our resources and expertise. Anticipate and prepare for client needs. Understand the competition for proper product positioning. Negotiate with vendors for discounts to improve profitability. Build strategic social relationships. Conduct forecasting and develop strategic account plans. Willingness to conduct onsite meetings and space measurements. Sales Process
Manage the entire sales process, facilitating all steps involved. Coordinate actions with the Sales/Account Coordinator or Project Manager. Monitor reports related to sales status. Mentor junior team members, if applicable. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in the furniture industry; dealership experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints, CAD, or construction drawings. Experience with CAD or CET is preferred. Knowledge of Steelcase furniture products. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Hedberg for generating quotes. Strong communication and customer service skills. Effective conveyance of ideas and information. Motivated, persistent, and skilled in negotiation. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under deadlines. Works well in team environments and can motivate others.
