Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | No call required (inpatient opportunity available) We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Outpatient Gastroenterology team within the Department of Internal Medicine. This position involves managing chronic hepatology and gastrointestinal conditions in a large, growing, and collaborative practice. Job Summary: Outpatient position with no call required (optional inpatient opportunity) Manage chronic GI and liver diseases, order and interpret labs, imaging, and procedures Supported by a large multidisciplinary team of physicians and APPs EPIC EMR and M*Modal dictation, with AI-enabled scribe capabilities anticipated soon Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a large public/county healthcare setting Perform comprehensive history and physical assessments Diagnose, develop, and implement treatment plans for gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions Order, perform, and interpret relevant diagnostic tests and imaging Prescribe and manage pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions Provide patient education, advocate for care, and communicate clearly with patients and families Collaborate with physicians, fellows, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective, timely care Participate in clinical protocol development, quality improvement initiatives, and educational efforts Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record Demonstrate sensitivity to age-specific and cultural needs in all aspects of patient care Ensure compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards Benefits:

Coordinates the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize patient care. Reviews patient medical charts to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families. Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary. Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group. Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient centered and patient valued behavior. Maintains a collaborative environment with other referring physicians, residents, clinical staff, and support staff to provide quality patient care. Supports academic, educational and research endeavors. Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process. Partners and communicates with acumen to build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for those who encounter JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group. This would include health network staff, vendors, outside partners, patients, stakeholders, and local community leaders. Serves as a resource to the community. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in nursing from an accreditedschool of nursing OR Graduate of an accredited Physician AssistantProgram (Gastroenterology preferred). Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: Must have current Texas Physician Assistant licenseor Texas APRN license (FNP or AGPCNP) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
