Overview
Lecturer - College of Nursing - Simulation. This is a nine-month, tenure-ineligible, faculty position based in Lexington, KY, onsite at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2025, with employment terms approximately 90-95% teaching and advising and 5-10% professional development/service, reviewed annually. The position supports the Undergraduate and Graduate programs within the College of Nursing and involves teaching, advising, and mentoring students in coursework offered in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center and UK clinical enterprise. The lecturer will design, implement, and evaluate curriculum for clinical simulation, coordinate student experiences, and provide experience with low- and high-fidelity simulators. Responsibilities
Teach and advise in courses offered in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center and related clinical simulation areas. Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum for clinical simulation programs. Plan and evaluate student experiences and provide supervision in clinical simulation with low- and high-fidelity simulators. Contribute to scholarly practice and nursing professionalism through teaching and mentoring. Support and resource undergraduate and graduate programs within the College of Nursing. Engage in ongoing assessment of learning outcomes and program improvement. Qualifications
Required education: MSN and/or DNP, EdD or PhD. Active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse. Minimum of 2 years of related professional clinical practice nursing experience within the last 5 years. Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education; curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation preferred. Successful teaching experience in clinical simulation with low and high-fidelity simulators preferred. Application and Requirements
