Overview

The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Lecturer (tenure-ineligible) in Simulation. This is a nine-month onsite appointment (August 16 – May 15) with an anticipated distribution of effort of about 90% Teaching and Advising, and 10% Professional Development/Service, reviewed annually. Anticipated start date: October 1, 2025, but no later than January 1, 2026. Location: Lexington, KY. Responsibilities

Provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of students in coursework offered in the clinical simulation learning center and UK clinical enterprise. Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum offered in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center. Plan and evaluate student experiences and provide experience in clinical simulation with low- and high-fidelity simulators. Contribute to scholarly practice and advancing nursing professionalism. Support and resource undergraduate and graduate programs within the College of Nursing. Qualifications

Required Education: MSN and/or a DNP, EdD, or PhD. Active unencumbered Kentucky nursing license (RN) and a minimum of 2 years of BSN-prepared professional clinical practice nursing experience within the last 5 years. Preferred: DNP or PhD; preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education; curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; successful teaching experience in clinical simulation with low- and high-fidelity simulators.
