Job Description
Proactively identifies prospective customers for distribution and channel management teams and develops professional relationships to understand customer needs and suggest products or services that meet those needs.
Conducts business development activities for distribution and channel management teams within defined customer segments to support the business strategy.
Identifies bid opportunities, participates in preparation of bid responses and negotiates with potential customers.
Develops new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
Proactively supports and develops prospective projects with assigned customers and presents to the sales business development team.
Develops personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.
Attends trade shows, presents new products to increase the visibility of the organization, and prepares workshops for assigned customers.
Role Responsibilities
Build a relationship with distributor accounts that are assigned.
Manage and sell various sales programs as needed.
Manage distributor accounts to reach or exceed their individual yearly sales targets.
Role Purpose
Management of an assigned territory of key distributors in the Midwest.
Small team atmosphere.
Career advancement potential.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
5+ years of sales experience managing accounts.
Ability to travel up to 65 %.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
HVAC sales experience helpful.
Strong experience through multiple sales and distribution channels.
Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
Ability to quickly identify new and innovative processes and ways to work faster and simpler.
Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
Ability to think creatively and strategically, innovate, take risks and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesize in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities. Superior follow‑up and follow‑through skills.
Pay Range:
$118,000.00 – $165,000.00
This position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives or bonuses.
