The Safety Health Environmental Coordinator supports the Safety Health Environmental Quality Lead in developing and maintaining the Safety Health Environmental management system. Duties include facilitating VTBA policies, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, SHE initiatives, and continuous improvement. Additional duties involve maintaining the facility.

Responsibilities

Maintain documentation and procedures per ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and VTBA systems for certifications and audits.

Participate in SHEQ audits as needed. Gather and report information for regulatory and VTBA requirements including OSHA and Environmental Obligations.

Evaluate risk through RCEs, provide corrective actions, and participate in SHE committee meetings.

Maintain reporting for KPIs and local reports. Support SHE Department in SHE incidents and investigations, ensuring corrective actions.

Order and maintain safety supplies, conduct monthly inspections, and report deficiencies. Coordinate training like Forklift, Crane, Lockout Tagout, and maintain training records.

Oversee crane and forklift maintenance inspections, collect daily records.

Assist with contractor control and safety action items as needed.

Support wellness initiatives and facilities needs.

Other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Graduate (required)

Associate's in Safety or Environmental Science (required)

Bachelor’s in Safety or Environmental Science (preferred)

Experience

Minimum 1 year coordinating safety and sustainability activities

Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)

Experience in manufacturing (preferred)

Knowledge/Skills

Strong communication, teamwork, and organization skills.

OSHA 30 hour (preferred)

Conducting audits or inspections.

Collaborate across functions at all organization levels.

Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office; Power BI is a plus.

Other Requirements

Interpersonal skills for diverse interactions.

Proactive in promoting SHEQ and building relationships.

Work arrangement and Location This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site upon approval from management. Location: Export, PA.

Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally at risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office buildings, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
