Job Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, testing and services of life safety product lines
Handle low voltage wiring and related devices for low voltage equipment operation
Work with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections
Communicate daily with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and status
Collaborate with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator and Office Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client (confirm work is complete for billing)
Job Qualifications
NICET Level II for fire sprinklers is required; NICET Level II for fire alarms is preferred or CSA License
CSA License for fire sprinklers is required; CSA License for fire alarms is preferred or NICET II
Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices and critical components
Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices and critical components
Willing to perform testing and maintenance
Proficient in documentation and use of personal computers and Microsoft Office
Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and corrective service
Able to read and write English clearly
Present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs and the public
Valid driver’s license; in accordance with company policy
Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, background and reference check
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $25.00-$37.00 per hour depending on certifications
