Postdoctoral Scholar

to determine the structures of chromatin complexes using cryoelectron microscopy. We are interested in epigenetic chromatin enzymes or transcription factors in complex with their nucleosome targets. Our research efforts are enhanced by: Techniques we have developed to co-express complexes in vivo Techniques to reconstitute chromatin complexes in vitro Excellent access to Penn State’s Titan Krios and Arctica electron microscopes both equipped with Falcon 4 detectors. A Ph.D. is required by the appointment date. Electron Microscopists, Crystallographers, Molecular Biologists and Biochemists with a Ph.D. are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with cryoelectron microscopy, macromolecular crystallography, chromatin biology or biochemistry is preferred.
