AUSTIN, TX Responsibilities

Attend meetings, participate in professional development, and serve on committees as assigned. Support or lead office projects and staff events within CNS. Oversee Natural Sciences Advising Center survey/data collection processes or provide advising support for CNS student programs; may include drop-in advising, program seminars, and liaison with the program office. Present academic advising material through workshops, facilitate CNS Foundations Cornerstone seminars, and participate in new student orientation. Provide academic advising and non-academic support and referrals to students individually and in groups. Offer information on degrees, University resources, and long-term planning. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience working with college students in an academic capacity. Ability to provide academic and non-academic advising, teach/present/train a wide range of students, and collaborate effectively with others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; student-centered with a focus on student success. Ability to anticipate next steps and initiate action; discretion and ability to handle confidential information. Limited evening and weekend hours may be required. Must be able to work in-person on the UT Austin campus. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field. Experience in counseling, group work, assessment, and administration of student academic programs. Salary

$45,000 Working Conditions
