Position: Public Safety Officer Location: Highland Park Hospital Part Time: 24hrs Hours: 10pm-6:30am- Sat/Sun/Mon Responsibilities
Inspire confidence in patients, visitors, and team members by presenting a professional, approachable, and service-oriented appearance and demeanor. Exercise critical thinking skills and work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff to determine the best course of actions to preserve patient, visitor, and staff safety. Be alert, observant, and ethical. Comply with and enforce all safety and security rules and regulations. Maintain department uniform and keep equipment in good repair. Perform routine responsibilities during interior and exterior patrols to ensure safety and security. Demonstrate ability in verbal and written communications. Ability to use a computer to document work. Ability to meet and maintain current Department training standards. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Preferred experience of 3-5 years in security, related public safety, law enforcement, prior military service, or customer service equivalent. Valid Driver’s License Required and PERC Card (Permanent Employee Registration Card) issued by the State of Illinois (IL) – within 9 months of employment. Benefits
