Overview

Raymond West is seeking a dynamic ASRS Technician to join our team. The ASRS Tech - Field Service (Automation Storage & Retrieval) is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the Storage & Retrieval Systems and related equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to travel to customer locations to support service and maintenance of customer equipment. Responsibilities

Perform testing and repair of new and used Automation Storage & Retrieval systems, including maintenance on conveyors, vertical lift modules/Kardex/Automation Storage and Retrieval Systems, automation and robotics. Repair and maintain Automation Storage & Retrieval Systems. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on automation equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues. Provide technical support and training to end-users on proper operation and maintenance of Automation Storage & Retrieval systems. Update training and skills on a continuing basis. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. Communicate with the assigned supervisor and with customers about options before proceeding with work. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during all service activities. Travel to customer sites as required, sometimes on short notice. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and represent the company positively in all situations. Pass all applicable certifications appropriate to the position and maintain knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas. Report accidents promptly and account for 100% of available time during working hours. Willingness to work overtime when necessary and coordinate overtime with the supervisor. Follow all procedures in the company handbook and safety procedures. Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to present effectively before groups of customers or employees Ability to maintain effective working relationships across departments Willingness to work off-hours and assume additional responsibilities as required Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Knowledge of PLC hardware and controls in an industrial setting Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively Ability to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on a variety of equipment Knowledge of AC and DC motors and general operation and maintenance of machine equipment Ability to schedule service appointments and adapt to changes as necessary Willingness to learn quickly and perform accurately with a degree of flexibility Professional appearance Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP integration Basic networking and software troubleshooting Willingness to comply with the Company Handbook Preferred: experience with Kardex Remstar, Modula, or similar VLM systems Preferred: OSHA or other safety certifications Must pass or possess all applicable certificates for the position Working knowledge of basic DC/AC electricity and logic Education/Experience

Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechanics, or a related field preferred Minimum 3 years of field service or equipment maintenance experience, preferably with automated storage systems Travel Requirements

Field-based role with daily travel within assigned territories Company vehicle and fuel card provided Must be insurable by Raymond West Physical Requirements

The work environment may be physically demanding. Reasonable accommodations may be made. Hourly range: $27.00 - $42.00, depending on experience, education, and location Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
