Senior Executive Consultant - Head of Commercial | Value Chain | Automotive | Industrial Manufacturing | Private Equity
Role Overview The Key Account Manager oversees all commercial aspects of the product portfolio. This includes managing customer relationships, driving new business, leading RFQ processes, and handling commercial responsibilities from project acquisition through product launch and life cycle management. The role acts as the main customer interface for purchasing and works closely with internal cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts (purchasing, technical, program teams). Identify and secure new business opportunities; lead RFQ and acquisition activities. Manage all commercial aspects of projects throughout their life cycle. Develop and execute account strategies to meet sales and profitability targets. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms in line with company objectives. Support cash collection and resolve account discrepancies with finance teams. Monitor customer roadmaps, industry trends, and competitor activity. Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and safety/environmental guidelines. Requirements Must have at least 5 years of experience working closely with Ford. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field. 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive sector. Experience working with OEM processes and portals (e.g., Covisint, Ariba). Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, communication, and relationship management. Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing, APQP, PPAP, and program management. Proven organizational and leadership abilities. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
