Overview
Account Manager role focused on increasing territory profitability and revenue within a territory comprising bulk gases and equipment. This remote role requires located in the Indianapolis area and experience selling into an industrial engineering environment.
Base pay $95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Increase territory profitability and revenue through in-depth understanding of the territory
Maintain overall territory business strategy to proactively plan and measure success
Manage an existing portfolio of clients and related agreements
Develop new customer relationships and negotiate new agreements
Manage price and cost recovery across the business
Prospect from multiple sources to develop new business (cold calls, trade shows, internal/external sources)
Allocate time to network, qualify, and follow up on leads
Engage with internal experts to identify and create value-added solutions
Qualify prospects to determine viability and appropriate time investment
Complete up-to-date opportunity roadmaps and account action plans
Capture calls and customer data in the CRM (SalesForce or equivalent, Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint)
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Travel 30-40% of the time
Critical and innovative thinking with strong questioning skills to uncover issues and create customer value
Sense of urgency and responsiveness to resolve customer issues
Proven sales track record with deep customer insight, understanding of competitive landscape, revenue growth, prospecting, negotiation, and closing
Strong business and financial acumen, presentation, planning, and organization skills
Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team
PC skills including SalesForce or CRM, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business or other technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years in B2B Industrial Sales, Gases, Specialty Chemical or Manufacturing
