Overview

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is a revenue-generating sales position working with a group of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and FIAT dealerships. The ASM will serve as a liaison between the dealers and Stellantis to assist in all areas of retail development including forecasting retail sales objectives by vehicle line, ensuring the dealer orders meet market demand, and managing monthly vehicle scheduling to maximize production capability within the area. Additional responsibilities will include reviewing minimum sales responsibility (MSR) and providing consultation on improvement opportunities, reviewing and analyzing dealer financial statements, and consulting with dealers on opportunities to improve their retail operations. The role will ensure advertising and marketing initiatives align with the corporate message and branding guidelines, and that proper levels of sales satisfaction are present at all dealerships. The Area Sales Manager will motivate and lead independent entrepreneurs to higher levels of performance while meeting internal goals.

Responsibilities

Forecast retail sales objectives by vehicle line to ensure dealer orders meet market demand and manage monthly scheduling for maximum production capability.

Review MSR and provide consultation on improvement opportunities; review and analyze dealer financial statements; consult with dealers on opportunities to improve their retail operations.

Ensure advertising and marketing initiatives are consistent with corporate messaging and branding guidelines.

Maintain proper levels of sales satisfaction at all dealerships.

Motivate and lead independent entrepreneurs to achieve higher levels of performance while meeting internal goals.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

2+ years of sales or marketing experience

Lives in or near San Antonio, TX or is willing to relocate for the position

Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment

Skilled in Microsoft Suite applications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a new car automotive dealership environment

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

Excel in building positive working relationships

Entrepreneurial individual with a history of leadership and achievement

Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals
