Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial guidance to management. This role requires the candidate to be on-site at the client's office in Indianapolis three days per week. Responsibilities
Conduct month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries and reconciliations. Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance. Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during annual and interim audits. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department. Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or related field Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
