The Associate Underwriter collaborates with the production underwriting team to develop commercial insurance products for retail agency partners, including General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, and Excess coverage. The role primarily involves policy issuance, maintaining service standards, and ensuring compliance. The Associate Underwriter will analyze data and interact with agency partners. This position can be based in Scottsdale, AZ; Westchester, OH; or Glen Allen, VA. Key Duties

Analyze renewal data, set pricing using renewal tools, and issue renewal quotes and policies following guidelines. Assist team members with issuing binders, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements within service standards. Maintain underwriting files, adhere to service standards, and follow underwriting authority guidelines. Prioritize and manage tasks such as handling emails, rating accounts, ordering reports, and managing reinsurance entries. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and over three years of related insurance experience or equivalent. Experience with insurance policy and premium transactions preferred. Strong customer service skills and excess & surplus lines background beneficial. Knowledge of rating processes and policy issuance procedures. Customer-focused with a sense of urgency. Entrepreneurial mindset, resilient to change, and goal-oriented. Team-oriented with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
