Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a fast-moving, customer-driven environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping financial operations accurate — from managing vendor relationships to reconciling daily sales transactions — while contributing to process improvements and supporting growth.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of AP/AR or accounting experience, solid knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency with a large ERP system. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a full benefits package.
Responsibilities
Manage AP from invoice coding through payment (ACH, wire, check) in a high-volume environment.
Handle AR by preparing invoices, applying cash, and balancing accounts.
Reconcile high-volume daily transactions from multiple e-commerce and distribution platforms.
Track deferred revenue (e.g., gift cards, prepaid sales) and merchant fees with accurate journal entries.
Verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy.
Ensure revenue entries align with contractual terms and accounting standards.
Maintain vendor records, support audits, and assist with year-end 1099 reporting.
Qualifications / Skills
3+ years of AP/AR experience, ideally in e-commerce, consumer goods, or manufacturing.
ERP expertise (SAP, NetSuite, etc.); bonus if you’ve worked with Shopify or ShipStation.
Strong GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition principles.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
A collaborative, proactive personality that thrives in a busy environment.
