Overview

Calspan is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role supports the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by performing account reconciliations, accrual calculations, and account analysis, as well as preparing critical accounting schedules and documentation. The position involves daily and monthly financial operations, including reviewing and posting accounts payable and PO vouchers, maintaining treasury reports, reconciling inventory, and supporting audits and compliance. Responsibilities

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and related accounting documents and schedules. Review and post Accounts Payable and PO vouchers; maintain daily treasury reports; reconcile physical inventory; and participate in special projects to improve process efficiency and performance. Ensure financial records and master data are maintained in compliance with policies and procedures (projects, organizations, general ledger accounts, vendors, customers). Prepare complete and accurate entries to sub-ledgers (adjusting entries, recurring entries, cash receipts, depreciation for fixed assets, asset capitalization and disposals). Provide financial support for reporting and analysis; assist with testing and final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting, and general ledger reconciliations; maintain process and procedure documentation for finance. Support timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes and assist with year-end audit engagement schedules. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (preferred). 5+ years in related accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; customer service oriented. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, research, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Demonstrated initiative and ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently. Benefits and Company Culture
