Project Accountant

Responsibilities
Prepare and issue accurate client invoices, ensuring timeliness and alignment with contractual terms and project milestones.
Support project managers with budgeting, fee structuring, schedule tracking, and financial forecasting.
Set up and maintain complete, accurate project records in Deltek Ajera while ensuring data integrity.
Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and maintain accurate AR aging reports.
Calculate and process consultant payments in accordance with contracts, verifying deliverables and approvals.
Manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment with responsiveness and reliability.
Collaborate with project managers, accounting staff, consultants, and clients to resolve billing issues and maintain consistent financial practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in project-based accounting
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with Deltek Ajera and/or BST Global preferred
