Lead month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities. Manage regulatory compliance and financial reporting for GAAP, STAT, and reinsurance accounting. Support audits, prepare work papers, and oversee internal and external financial reviews. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including statutory filings and risk-based reporting. Drive process improvements, maintain internal controls, and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting processes. Analyze complex accounting areas and provide actionable insights for leadership. Mentor and guide accounting staff, fostering growth and professional development. Maintain expertise in insurance industry practices, accounting policies, and financial systems. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5+ years of accounting experience within the insurance industry, including management, audit, consolidations, and financial modeling. Strong GAAP and STAT expertise; P&C insurance knowledge and reinsurance experience a plus. Experience supervising accounting staff and preparing complex financial statements.
