Role Overview The Finance and Accounting Professional will be responsible for assisting in the achievement of monthly closings, processing of accounts payable and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations. This position will also support the Finance Manager in ledger management, ERP system oversight, and assistance with SEC external reporting. This role will drive operational excellence through assistance with process optimization, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, fixed assets, etc. Ensure timely delivery of income statements, balance sheet, and cash flow reports to internal stakeholders Review and validate general ledger reports, account reconciliations, and trial balances, investigating variances as needed Preparation and support of credits/debits and general ledger accounting with accuracy and integrity Support for review of SEC filings, quarterly & annual external reports including interface and assistance with outside auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits Support for internal management reporting Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to plan Evaluate, implement, and optimize finance automation tools to streamline reconciliation and reporting workflows in the company's ERP system Maintain robust internal controls around financial processes Support AP/AR activities Some supervisory duties might be required in the future *Key Responsibilities might change overtime to adapt to the company's growth. Position will also be required to work across departments to assist with accounting-related functions, including legal and HR. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field Experience: 3- 5+ years in accounting or finance roles Strong proficiency in debits & credits, GL maintenance, reconciliations, ERP systems (Unanet experience is a plus) and Excel Familiarity with SEC filings (10
