POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary responsibilities include, adjusting inventory levels with counts and communicating the need for order placement. Assisting others in materials department as needed. FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifies the accuracy of inventory quantities daily by cycle-counting items within storage locations. Researches and reconciles variances. Performs root cause and corrective actions to minimize stock variances. Utilizes existing materials reports to monitor safety stock and consumption. Properly record transactions and mark/identify material/product Checks incoming shipments of assigned product family Crosstrain, and provide necessary support for all warehouse and stockroom practices Support high emphasis on safe practices KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer skills and knowledge in Excel Must have high attention to detail and accuracy Must be able to multi-task and juggle conflicting priorities A positive attitude & pleasant personality Effective memory skills Experience with warehouse and materials flow in fast-paced, highly customized factory Experience in management of in-bound freight department preferred Forklift trained (certification will be required) Ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn Ability to communicate issues verbally and in written form DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required Two-year college degree preferred, but not required MRP system experience desired but not required.
