Company/Role Overview CLA is partnering with Lindberg & Ripple to support the search and hiring process for a Staff Accountant. Lindberg & Ripple, based in West Hartford, CT, is an independent investment and insurance advisory firm specializing in wealth management, investment consulting, and insurance solutions for high‑net‑worth individuals, executives, and business owners.

This newly created role offers vital financial support to the COO and firm Principals, ensuring precise record‑keeping and proper documentation of financial transactions. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity by overseeing general accounting functions, managing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, conducting monthly close procedures, reconciling bank accounts, and preparing financial reports across all legal entities.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and process journal entries daily, weekly, and monthly, ensuring accurate transaction recording.

Reconcile bank accounts, investments, and financial records, generating corresponding journal entries monthly.

Compile and distribute production reports and financial statements to firm Principals and stakeholders on a regular basis.

Manage vendor payments via Bill.com and maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.

Record payroll journal entries, including wages, taxes, and benefits.

Execute month‑end closing procedures, reconciling major balance sheet accounts.

Post monthly entries for depreciation, prepaid expenses, and insurance allocations.

Conduct financial analysis, support research inquiries, and contribute to special projects.

Assist with annual tax return preparation, collaborate with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Minimum of four years of experience in financial operations.

Strong oral and written communication skills for professional interactions across all levels, including colleagues, management, clients, vendors, and third parties.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables), and experience with QuickBooks.

Familiarity with the financial services industry.

Effective multi‑tasker, ensuring timely project completion.

Excellent analytical, accounting, and organizational skills.

Self‑motivated with the ability to take initiative on assignments.

Capable of working independently to meet objectives with minimal supervision.
