AnaVation is seeking a strong Senior Pricing Analyst with 5 or more years of proven government contracting pricing experience to lead and support strategic pricing initiatives that drive business growth, operation excellence, and innovation across our programs. This role will play a key part in developing competitive, compliant, and compelling pricing strategies for new business proposals and ongoing contract activities.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of Government contracting, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Senior Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with internal teams across contracts, operations, finance, and business development to ensure pricing excellence. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Responsibilities
Provide service excellence and value to the Account Management teams by delivering responsive, high-quality pricing support that strengthens customer relationships and drives business success
Lead pricing efforts for new business proposals and ongoing contract activities
Develop and execute compliant, competitive pricing strategies aligned with business objectives
Coordinate with management to establish pricing structures, conduct Price-to-Win analyses, and perform competitive market research
Review solicitation documents (RFPs/RFQs) to identify pricing requirements, compliance issues, and key assumptions
Prepare compliant cost/price proposals, including government pricing templates, detailed narratives, and customer submittal files
Ensure all pricing submissions comply with solicitation requirements, internal policies, and regulatory standards
Perform complex financial analyses to support decision-making, cost optimization, and process improvement
Develop and maintain competitive pricing models and cost analyses to evaluate market trends and ensure price competitiveness
Utilize industry pricing tools to ensure proposal alignment with established pricing processes
Lead internal pricing reviews and provide accurate, timely responses to customer pricing inquiries
Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Contracts, HR, and Account Operations, Business Development to ensure pricing accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment
Communicate pricing requirements, collect Basis of Estimate (BOE) data from technical leads, and provide cost/price volume updates
Develop and issue subcontractor and teaming partner pricing requests and templates
Analyze and validate subcontractor pricing responses for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Create and maintain organized, auditable internal pricing files and proposal documentation to support reviews and audits
Contribute to the development and enhancement of pricing tools, templates, and best practices
Support special projects and collaborate with other business units as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience pricing various types of government contracts within the government contracting industry (CPFF, T&M, LH, and FFP)
Demonstrated experience creating pricing models and performing financial analyses to support management decision-making throughout the proposal lifecycle
Comprehensive knowledge of Government solicitation requirements, cost principles, and proposal compliance standards
Proven experience developing compliant, large-scale Government Cost/Price volumes, including detailed Cost Narratives and Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
Strong understanding of the FAR and DFARS, with the ability to interpret and apply requirements from Government contracts and schedules
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building formulas, macros, automation, data validation, queries, Power Pivot, and data organization; proficient in Microsoft Word
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present pricing recommendations clearly
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently, with flexibility to support proposal deadlines outside of standard working hours
Highly organized, with the ability to follow established processes, contribute to process improvements, manage multiple priorities, and meet commitments
Position is based in Chantilly, VA; candidates must be local
Must possess a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
