Overview
Site Controller role
focused on adherence to financial policies and internal controls, providing financial analyses and recommendations to the Plant Manager to support growth and profitability. Lead financial planning and reporting processes at the site and collaborate with operations leadership to align with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead the annual forecast, budget, and plan processes at the site; provide explanations of significant variances and analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast. Focus on timely month-end results and strategic planning for profitability growth.
Manage month-end close processes to align with deadlines, prepare/approve journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure balance sheet integrity (working capital, fixed assets, etc.). Lead standard cost development for the site to ensure cost transparency.
Ensure plant accounting activities comply with ICRF, IFRS, HPS/LS policies and sound business practices.
Coordinate month-end reporting in systems (e.g., QAD, DSS) and internal financial reporting (Monthly GM report, operational analyses of scrap, labor, overhead variances, monthly presentations, weekly updates, etc.).
Support LS & Operations Controller with ad hoc requests, annual plan, budget, and standard cost development; engage with supervisors, plant leadership, and senior management to maintain a clear financial picture of the plant’s performance.
Support CI/WCM initiatives; lead loss deployment and co-manage capital processes; create forward-looking financial reviews and cost/benefit analyses.
Lead ICRF gap analysis and action plan execution; ensure segregation of duties and controls are in place; evaluate site internal controls.
Coordinate physical inventory and cycle count programs to meet site and SBU goals.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Finance or Related Field; Required .
Education:
Master's Degree - Business, Accounting, Finance or Related Field; Preferred .
Experience:
3+ years in Manufacturing/Plant cost accounting or controllership; Required .
Experience:
3+ years in/with Corporate/Finance Environment; Required .
Experience:
3+ years with Operational Leadership/Management capabilities; Required .
Experience:
ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, QAD, Oracle); Required .
