Manager, Direct Lending BDC Fund Management Overview

The Carlyle Group is a global investment firm with extensive experience in Global Private Equity, Global Credit and Carlyle AlpInvest. This role focuses on accounting, fund management and financial reporting for the Carlyle Direct Lending platform (CDL), with emphasis on valuations, fundraising support and investor relations within Global Credit. Position Summary

This position will assist in all aspects of the accounting and fund management of the BDCs on the Carlyle Direct Lending platform. The role includes coordinating and managing the review of accounting close packages with the Third Party Administrator (TPA), preparing quarterly financial statements, SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks), and supporting valuation, fundraising and investor relations activities. The role also emphasizes process improvement and technology enablement to drive efficiencies within CDL. Primary Responsibilities

75% of time - Fund Control: coordinate production calendar, review accounting close packages from TPA, ensure accurate NAV reporting and financial statements, interface with auditors, review tie-out of financial statements, coordinate corporate deliverables such as AUM reporting, oversee quarterly credit facility reporting and compliance, review tax diversification and related tests, and coordinate investor requests with Investor Relations and deal teams. 15% of time - Valuations: review investment valuations across Direct Lending funds, manage quarterly valuation deliverables, work with deal teams on complex valuations, support development and refinement of valuation models, and identify standardized valuation processes to improve efficiency. 10% of time - Data Governance & Technology Initiatives: drive data and technology initiatives for investment, fund and investor data, execute on technology projects as a business partner, document policies to improve quality and consistency, and promote adherence to policies across Global Credit. Requirements

Education & Certificates

Concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred CPA/CFA or progress toward CPA/CFA is a plus Professional Experience

5-7 years of relevant experience Strong understanding of valuation concepts for operating companies and debt/equity instruments Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong finance and reporting experience; knowledge of closed-end and regulated investment funds and US GAAP/SEC reporting is a plus Ability to collaborate across departments; self-starter with a willingness to learn Ability to manage junior team members Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly organized and detail-oriented Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines Commitment to furthering the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and depends on factors including experience, licenses/certifications, and other relevant considerations. The anticipated base salary range is $125,000 to $155,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package and potential annual discretionary incentive program based on performance. Additional Information
