The Department of Economics and Finance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#113090) in Finance at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026. Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Conduct research in the following areas of finance: Corporate finance Investments Financial markets and institutions Financial planning Behavioral finance Fintech Related fields Commitment to excellence in teaching and service. High-quality research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals. Required Education

A terminal degree in finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required by the appointment date. Other Desirables

Applicants with the following will receive special consideration: Professional experience in financial planning or wealth management. Holding designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or NABE Certified Business Economist (CBE®). Financial analytics and planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Morningstar) experience. Data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python) experience.
