Job Description and Duties Under general direction of the Project and Program Supervisor, the Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst V (PURA V) will advise and assist high-level decision-makers on electric general rate case proceedings and other cases related to utility costs and compliance that examine utility capital expenditure and annual operating costs requests. The PURA V may act as a team leader and project coordinator. Responsibilities include analyzing utility cases and cost of capital applications, reviewing requests to securitize costs, and overseeing related financing matters. The PURA V will make recommendations based on regulatory, policy, and technical analysis, review advice letters, and oversee program implementation from CPUC and legislative processes. The PURA V may also coordinate with other agencies and prepare reports. Qualifications and Requirements Eligibility to apply; new state service entrants should follow the examination bulletin instructions. Experience in public utilities economics, finance, or policy preferred. Ability to write and present reports; experience coordinating with stakeholders and multiple agencies SOQ (Statement of Qualifications) required with responses to specified questions; page limits apply; Arial 11-point, single-spaced, up to two pages.
