Architect - Civil Analysis and Review
to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate has a
Bachelor's Degree
from an accredited college related to architecture or construction engineering, as well as at least
5 years of experience
with building codes and systems in a construction setting.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with discretion and will be used purely for the benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks. This position will be full-time, on-site in
Jersey City, New Jersey . JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies. Review construction documents, calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards. Develop project scope of work and structural design for various structural types,
specifically building design and construction of transportation and related facilities, including rails, bridges, and transit facilities. Deliver documents to various city agencies for review and approval. Research existing building status from City records at various agencies. Perform related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS
include, but are not limited to, the following: A
Bachelor's Degree
from an accredited college related to architecture. At least
5 years of experience
with building codes and systems in a construction setting. Proper understanding of architectural disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities. Experience acting as an intermediary between tenants & facilities and in-house application reviewers to ensure smooth workflow. Registered Architect or Professional Engineer’s license in State of New York and/or New Jersey is Required. Strong computer skills, including MS Office
required.
Proficiency or interest in learning various in-house and external software, such as Share Point, Trimble, etc.
preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
