Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. Job Description Responsible to the Telecommunications Maintenance Superintendent or Foreman for performance of preventive and corrective maintenance in servicing of Telecommunications and EMS field equipment. Note:
There is one position available, which will be filled at one of five job grade levels: Telecommunications Technician I (T2), II (T3), III (T4), IV (T5), or Journey Level (T6). The level will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and current needs of Tri-State. Benefits:

Journey Level: $62.09; Technician IV: $56.66-$59.31; Technician III: $51.72-$54.12; Technician II: $47.25-$49.43; Technician I: $43.19-$45.17. Actual offer may vary based on experience and education. Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on telecommunications and EMS equipment, ensuring compliance with NERC/FERC standards. Install and test telecommunications, data, and EMS equipment. Operate off-road and all-terrain vehicles. Maintain maintenance records in the computerized system. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and corporate policies. Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Tri-State’s core values and ethics. Work reliably to ensure continuous electric service to customers. Work overtime as needed for service continuity. Additional Duties:
Perform other related tasks as assigned. Job Competencies:
Planning, time management, problem-solving, ethics, communication, teamwork, computer skills, independence. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent, with advanced studies in radio, data communications, and networking. Willingness to obtain switchman certification, CDL, and perform high-voltage work. Knowledge of safety standards and electrical schematics. Experience: Minimum four years in telecommunications maintenance, including radio, fiber optics, microwave, and digital systems. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays. On-call availability, residency within one hour of the base. Preferred:
