Position Overview

As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's network and systems infrastructure, ensuring its functionality, security, and efficiency. You will work closely with the IT team to support and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, implement infrastructure upgrades, and ensure the smooth operation of our network systems. Location

In-person/non-remote in Maryville, TN Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure. Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal network operation. Install, configure, and maintain servers, network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Perform regular network-related audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures. Implement and enforce network and system security policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and potential security breaches. Collaborate with the IT security team to implement and maintain network security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data privacy. Respond to network-related incidents and service requests, diagnosing and resolving network issues in a timely manner. Maintain enterprise-wide phone system, including configuration, upgrades, patching, and replacements. Collaborate with the IT team to provide technical support for network-related problems reported by end-users. Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory. Read trade magazines and technical manuals and attend conferences and seminars to maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and software. Assist co-workers engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software. Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operations of all critical systems. Education and Experience

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience Professional certifications such as MCSE, Network+, CCENT, CCNA, etc. Proven work experience as a Network Administrator or similar role. In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, etc.). Strong experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Experience with Enterprise phone systems; Mitel is a plus. Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Competencies and Skills

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquids, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, hot temperatures, humidity, odors, dust, and mechanical hazards. The following Personal Protective Equipment is required: safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection where on the manufacturing floor; additional PPE may be required when performing certain tasks.
