Discount Concessions! role at Regal Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or full-time hourly employees whose primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies.
Responsibilities
Box Office: Operating POS system, handling cash drawer and related payments, up selling Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX), promoting Regal Crown Club, ensuring tickets align with MPAA ratings and company policy, handling guest inquiries with the guest service philosophy.
Concession: Operating POS system, managing cash and concessions inventory, promoting Regal Crown Club, operating and cleaning concession equipment, up selling, complying with local, state and federal food safety laws, compliance with breaks and meal period laws where applicable, ensuring alcohol certification and training are current where applicable, and reading training materials on topics such as harassment and discrimination.
Usher: Tearing tickets, directing patrons, inspecting backpacks when applicable, managing crowd control, enforcing MPAA rating system, conducting in-theatre inspections for quality and safety, reporting issues to management, performing in-theatre concession sales as directed, cleaning auditoriums and restrooms, maintaining facility cleanliness, and assisting with opening/closing duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities by Position Box Office
Operating POS system and handling cash, credit, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed tickets/coupons.
Upselling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with MPAA ratings and company policy.
Responding to guest questions via phone and in person with consistent service.
Concession
Operating POS system and managing cash and inventory related to concessions.
Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
Operating, preparing and cleaning concession equipment.
Upselling/suggestive selling.
Complying with local, state and federal food safety laws; abiding by break and meal period laws where applicable.
Ensuring alcohol certification and training are current where applicable; if duties include selling/serving alcohol, must be of legal age.
Reading training materials covering topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing stubs, and directing patrons to auditoriums.
Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable.
Managing crowd control and helping guests find seats.
Enforcement of MPAA rating system.
In-theatre inspections to monitor picture/sound quality and safety; report issues to management.
Perform in-auditorium concession sales as directed; clean auditoriums and restrooms; maintain cleanliness outside auditoriums.
Monitor vending equipment operation and assist with opening/closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education/Experience Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required. If the theatre sells alcohol, complete any legally required state/local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Language Ability Possess good public speaking, listen effectively and respond clearly and directly.
Math Ability Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
Reasoning Ability Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate information, consider alternatives, and act under pressure while maintaining customer focus.
Personal Skills Excellent communication with customers, coworkers and management; set goals, budget time, and priorities to achieve objectives.
Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching; occasional climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; ability to lift up to 60 pounds; vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
