Counselor Life University seeks a compassionate, dynamic full-time counselor. Under the guidance of the Director of Counseling Services (Student Affairs), the counselor provides individual, group, and couples counseling to help students achieve personal, educational, and vocational goals. Responsibilities include outreach, wellness workshops, presentations, and supervising student counseling/psychology interns, under the Director's supervision. Conduct intake assessments to identify student needs and provide culturally competent counseling or appropriate referrals. Deliver therapy sessions for individuals, groups, or couples. Administer evaluative assessments as needed. Maintain confidential progress notes, intake, and termination documentation. Develop and present workshops addressing issues relevant to college students. Collaborate with campus safety, faculty, and staff for crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals. Stay updated on counseling theories, ethics, and best practices. Establish effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Facilitate presentations on counseling services and student needs. Support awareness events and departmental activities. Organize and maintain a referral and resource database. Refer students to community resources as needed. Provide crisis counseling when necessary. Participate in trainings and meetings to enhance effectiveness. Engage in campus-wide initiatives supporting Student Affairs. Supervise counseling/psychology interns clinically. Complete required training and professional development. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Counseling Services or Student Affairs administrators. Qualifications

Requirements: Graduated from an accredited university with a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent. Minimum of two years postgraduate experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or related fields. Licensed professional counselor with an active license in Georgia. Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations: LPC or equivalent (Licensed Professional Counselor). Licensed in Georgia. Compliance with continuing education requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Maintain individual liability insurance. Three or more years fully licensed as an LPC or equivalent. Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) or similar for supervising interns. Up-to-date continuing education credits as required by Georgia. Experience in college counseling, tele-mental health, and working with diverse student populations including women, LGBTQIA, and underrepresented groups. Development of prevention and wellness programs for college campuses. Experience with substance abuse prevention, treatment, and education. Availability for on-call work as needed. Proven ability to innovate, manage projects, lead teams, and utilize technology effectively. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
