A rapidly expanding law firm specializing in personal injury, property damage, and landlord-tenant law is seeking a
Litigation Attorney
to join its Habitability Department. This position is ideal for a skilled litigator with a passion for advocating on behalf of tenants in disputes involving substandard living conditions and other landlord-tenant issues. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and directly contribute to achieving justice for underserved communities.
Location Burbank, California
Duties
Handle all aspects of litigation, including strategy development, pleadings, discovery, and motion practice
Provide clear, strategic legal guidance to clients throughout the litigation process
Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and settlement negotiations
Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff, including paralegals and law clerks
Ensure adherence to court deadlines and procedural requirements
Formulate and execute case strategies that align with client goals
Requirements
Active membership in the California State Bar
Minimum of 1–2 years of litigation experience, preferably in habitability or landlord-tenant law
Ability to manage multiple active cases independently
Strong time management and organizational skills
Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications California State Bar admission in good standing (required)
Skills
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience supervising legal support staff
Effective communication with clients and court personnel
