Overview
Systems Administrator - Top Secret Clearance Required As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers. You will support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret/SCI) that enables users to collaboratively perform their work using a variety of tools and applications. Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions Ensure data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations Develop and promote standard operating procedures Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards and configurations Develop and maintain comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration databases Support analytical tool infrastructure Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timelines Technical Skills
Mid-Level Proficiency with: Windows and Linux operating systems Windows Active Directory Virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox) Basic network configuration and troubleshooting System monitoring and performance tuning Backup and recovery procedures Security patching and updates Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash) Senior-Level Advanced proficiency with complex multi-enclave environments Advanced system security hardening High-availability system configurations Disaster recovery planning and implementation Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution System automation and orchestration Performance optimization techniques Capacity planning and resource management Security accreditation processes Additional Technical Experience
Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S) Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Configuration management tools LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms DevSecOps practices and tools SAFe Agile methodologies Qualifications
Mid-Level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Experience with virtualization technologies Understanding of security requirements in government environments Senior-Level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Experience with SAFe Agile framework Strong understanding of multi-enclave environments Demonstrated experience managing complex systems in government environments Work Environment
Primary location: Chantilly, VA May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and polygraph examination May require flexible scheduling to support critical operations Must be able to respond to critical incidents within designated resolution timelines
