Please note: This position can work remotely, but new hires will be required to come to our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH, for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period.

Position Description Sigma Technologies is seeking a strategic, technically minded Business Systems Analyst / Deltek Vantagepoint SME to support, optimize, and integrate our key business systems. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between IT and operations, ensuring that Deltek Vantagepoint and related systems support business goals, streamline workflows, and enable reliable reporting.

You will be responsible for administration, enhancements, user support, reporting, integrations, and training—helping Sigma grow through efficient systems and data-driven insight.

Essential Job Functions

Act as the primary subject matter expert and administrator for Deltek Vantagepoint

Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system incidents

Maintain system integrity: enhancements, patches, updates

Manage user setup, security, and permissions

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and improve workflows

Analyze, document, and refine business processes; propose system improvements

Build and maintain custom reports using SQL, SSRS, and ERP reporting tools

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across modules

Support data migrations, system integrations, and automation efforts

Create/maintain user documentation and training resources

Conduct training for new and existing users

Lead quality assurance, testing, and validation of system changes

Handle service requests and incident resolution within SLA targets

Escalate complex issues and coordinate resolutions with appropriate teams

Facilitate lessons learned and project post-mortem activities

Act as a change agent; continuously challenge the status quo

Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements Education/Experience Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT or systems role (ERP / business systems) — experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is strongly preferred

Proficiency in SQL, SSRS, and ERP reporting tools

Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies

Deltek Vantagepoint Master Certification is preferred

Experience working in an implementation team is preferred

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

Comfortable working under pressure, handling multiple priorities

Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Willingness to travel overnight as needed

Availability: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time; occasional evening or weekend work as needed

Dependable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance

Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug test, and driving record check

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.

Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting.

Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in sound.

Must have the ability to pick up computer hardware (up to 30 pounds), physically set up workstations/network hardware, and plug devices into the network (bending down, reaching under desks, etc.)
