About the role: Keyrus North America (NORAM) is seeking a full-time Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and modern cloud data platforms. This role combines hands-on data engineering with opportunities to engage in client-facing consulting, pre-sales support and contributing to high-impact data initiatives. Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and technical requirements, translating them into effective data solutions that drive value
Lead end-to-end delivery of data initiatives: design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, data lakes and architectures using Databricks, Fabric, and other modern cloud tools (Snowflake, Azure Data Services, etc.)
Lead engineering for real-time and ML/AI use cases including data/feature pipelines, Kafka/Kinesis experience, vector database integrations, and integrations with LLMs and AI services (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI) for enterprise applications
Lead a small technical team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful delivery and development of team members
Contribute to proposals, solutioning, and client conversations with technical expertise and market knowledge to add strategic value
Manage Agile/Scrum project delivery, from backlog management to sprint execution, ensuring efficient outcomes
Work closely with cross-functional teams—data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders—to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions
Share knowledge with peers, bring a strategic mindset to projects, and help shape best practices in our data practice
Stay up to date with offerings and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and innovative solutions to meet business needs
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s in computer science, IT, or related field
5–7 years of experience in data engineering or cloud data roles, with proven success in delivering end-to-end solutions
Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, including building and optimizing data pipelines and strong expertise in at least two of the following: Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS)
Experience in client-facing roles, with involvement in pre-sales and proposals, and the ability to leverage market insights in client and partner conversations
Experience managing projects or leading technical teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring efficient and effective delivery
Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
