LTCR Provider Investigations Nurse Investigator role at Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Job Title: Nurse III. Location: Houston, TX. Salary Range: $7,474.23 - $8,886.16 per month. Travel: Up to 80% with statewide travel required. Telework: Not eligible. Regular full-time position. Responsibilities

Conduct investigations concerning allegations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation under the direction of a program manager. Conduct interviews, collect evidence, analyze findings, and prepare detailed written reports. Attend case conferences and meetings; participate in continuous training; may supervise team members during investigations. Testify at hearings or court proceedings as needed; travel to various providers within a region and statewide. Maintain compliance with Texas Administrative Code (TAC) and Provider Investigations policies; ensure factual, objective documentation. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)

Experience in conducting high-level investigations; knowledge of adult and pediatric populations with mental health issues and disabilities. Crisis intervention knowledge; ability to work with diverse populations across health care environments. Strong nursing principles, professional standards, interpersonal skills, and report writing ability. Ability to interpret policies, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and present information to executive-level management. Ability to conduct interviews in various locations (private residences, facilities, etc.) and operate computer-based reporting tools. Qualifications

Must be licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Texas or through reciprocity via the Nurse Licensure Compact. Two years of experience providing services in a health care setting as a Registered Nurse; experience with individuals with mental illness, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or physical disabilities preferred. Flexibility in work hours; required travel (up to 80%), on-call duties; reliable transportation. Additional Information
