The College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University is seeking to hire an Assistant, Associate or Clinical Professor of Veterinary Neurology. Responsibilities and Workload
The workload for this position will include time allocated for teaching, clinical service, research/scholarly activity, and other service duties. The assignment will be 0.65 clinical services/teaching, 0.10 scholarly/research, and 0.25 other service duties and didactic teaching in the veterinary, graduate, and veterinary technology curricula. Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications include DVM (or equivalent degree) and completion of residency training in an ACVIM-approved or comparable veterinary neurology residency. ACVIM board certification or comparable in veterinary neurology is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent telephone and email communication skills, especially related to client service. Must be capable of working in a team environment comprised of doctors, staff and students to provide veterinary care of patients and aid in the instruction of veterinary students and veterinary technology students. Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands. Job requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Application Process
