Overview
Join WCCU Credit Union as a Member Service Representative. This full‑time role focuses on providing exceptional member service, managing daily banking transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for member requests related to daily financial needs.
Handle cash, basic deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
Issue negotiable instruments and process cash advances.
Execute check reconciliation procedures for regular, foreign, and foreign‑exchange checks.
Generate statements, conduct inquiries, and educate members on products, services, fees, and policies.
Maintain records, including account notes, and enter transaction information into the computerized system.
Process stop‑payment requests, prepare gift cards, redeem savings bonds, and prepare counter, cashier, and corporate checks.
Assist members with safe‑deposit box access, wire transactions, and fraud situations involving debit cards, credit cards, ACH, and checks.
Perform routine maintenance of member financial information, update share accounts, and maintain confidentiality and a neat work area.
Provide mobile branch coverage as needed, including occasional weekday, evening, and Saturday rotations for community events.
Collaborate with the Branch Manager and other department staff to support branch operations.
Qualifications
Previous financial and cash‑handling experience desired.
Post‑secondary education in finance or a related field preferred.
Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Strong organizational skills, task orientation, and the ability to manage personal workflow and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a courteous, efficient manner.
Knowledge of current financial service industry standards, laws, and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general office equipment.
