The Cottonwood Golf & Country Club is seeking the services of a dynamic and personable Assistant or Associate Golf Professional to join our team for the 2026 golf season and beyond. Cottonwood is a Private, family‑owned business that opened in 1990. Always highly regarded as a “Home away from Home” facility for our members. Job Summary: Cottonwood is seeking a dynamic and career oriented individual to join the PGA of Canada team within the Golf Operations department. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, and inquisitive.
The successful applicant will play a key role in all elements within the Golf Operations department. The specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to: member service, promoting club culture, member events and league coordination, supervise pace targets and tee sheet management, growing our teaching and coaching business, and assist in club fitting.
Schedule, hire & train Golf Shop team members
Schedule, hire & train Starters & P/A team members
Create a fun and engaging seniors league with weekly games and special events
Corporate Charity Events - assist with the booking, organization, preparation, setup, take down, planning and execution of events
Corporate Sales - point of contact, assisting corporate clients with all requests, placing various corporate orders with proper follow up & invoicing
Member Events - booking, organization and execution of Ryder Cup, Member/Guest, Club Championships and all special member events
Tee Sheet Management - ensure maximum play for all members and guests
Management Mentorship program - learn from our team of PGA Professionals
Member in good standing with the PGA of Canada
Experience at a Private club is a benefit, but not a requirement for application
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Passion for the business of golf
Ability to thrive, and succeed in a team environment
Knowledge of Jonas POS system and Golf Genius event software is an asset
Experience with TrackMan Launch Monitor is an asset Organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Commitment to creating and delivering a world‑class experience
Monthly salary $3,600-$4,300 - start date is scheduled to be March 1st, 2026
Salary, length of term, and list of key responsibilities will be based upon experience and each professional’s current knowledge and efficiency with the listed team responsibilities.
PGA of Canada dues 80% teaching revenue (with guaranteed Bonus Program)
Clothing, tournament, and education allowance
Equipment package KPI bonus
Corporate sales incentive for the Professionals
