Head Professional Josh Horsthuis & The Summerland Golf & Country Club are looking for the services of an Apprentice/ Assistant Golf Professional to add to our talented team for the 2026 season and beyond. Perched above Trout Creek Canyon, the Summerland Golf Club provides its members and guests with an exceptional golfing experience. Our championship golf facility includes a newly renovated clubhouse, brand new cart fleet & full-length practice facility. Including a 300-yard driving range with both mat & grass Tee decks, 3 practice greens and a private teaching deck. With a membership of 700 strong, and consistent growth across all categories, Summerland has a diverse and golf-hungry atmosphere. The Assistant Golf Professional would report directly to the Head Golf Professional and would be a key member of the golf services team. Location Summerland Golf & Country Club Posted 2025-10-02 Deadline 2025-12-15 Job Summary The successful candidate would: Bring enthusiasm and a passion for golf with them to work every day Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism Be self-motivated and seek out opportunities to grow both personally and within their field Possess strong Interpersonal, communication & organizational skills Have a keen eye and attention to detail Be comfortable in a sales environment, aiding the golf shop in its sales goals Be excited about Junior golf and developing new and innovative programs Be looking to grow their teaching knowledge and personal brand Be part of a team and work with coworkers towards a common goal Be willing to try, fail and grow as a golf professional Responsibilities Would include but are not limited to: Attending to the needs of Members and guests alike Management of the Tee Sheet & first tee to ensure member & Guest satisfaction Management of the Cart Fleet Management of outside services staff members Merchandising of the Professional shop Professional Shop Sales Teaching Lessons to members and guests of the club Facilitating Junior Golf Programs Key member in deliverance of Men's and/or Ladies Leagues Club Fitting as needed Tournament planning, management and facilitation Qualifications

Working towards or current affiliation with the PGA of Canada Minimum 2+ years previous work experience in a Golf Shop or similar role Experience with Golf Genius would be considered an asset Experience with Lightspeed POS would be considered an asset Experience teaching lessons and/or running Junior programs would be considered an asset Compensation Base Salary of $3900-$4300/ Month Based on Experience.
