Overview
The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a team to achieve the GP complex objectives. The essential functions of this position include managing crew schedules; vaccination programs; bird moves; lab testing requirements; house washing; hen sells; maintain genetic security and purity; achieve a culture of Biosecurity and Animal Welfare; achieve a culture of safety; develop qualified and effective team members; communicate and collaborate with growers and techs; and produce weekly schedules. Education Experience:
College degree or equivalent experience with 5 plus years of progressive experience in field of expertise Accountability Role:
Responsible for supervising a team of mostly non-exempt TMs; mentoring exempt TMs; providing training to non-exempt TMs; monitoring work quality; coaching TMs on performance; contributing to TM pay decisions; and ensuring the quality of results produced by the team Computer Skills:
Proficiency in data collection and management through Microsoft Office applications Supervisory:
Will supervise a team comprised of salaried, management support, and hourly TMs Travel:
Minimal domestic trips Biosecurity:
The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility/farms and could require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Farm Hatchery Biosecurity Standards Physical:
Must use safe lifting techniques. The team member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch or handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Personal Protective Equipment Required:
When visiting facilities, the team member is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required PPE Relocation Assistance Eligible:
