Responsibilities

Facility Management: Supervision and management of all indoor and outdoor athletics facilities including the Towson Center, TU Arena, Unitas Stadium, Soccer complex, Baseball complex, Softball complex, Field Hockey complex, tennis courts and all TU athletic practice fields. Coordinate maintenance requests to ensure optimal playing conditions for all NCAA Division 1 athletic practices, competitions and external events.

Athletic Event Management: Coordinate and supervise game day event management for 19 NCAA Division 1 athletic teams. Setup, game management and breakdown for all home athletic competitions. Liaison with TU Police Department for large event documents, Event and Conference Services, Coppermine LLC and other contractors. Schedule crowd control following state laws and university policies.

Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule all athletic facilities for both practice and competition for 19 NCAA Division 1 athletic teams. Communicate with coaches and athletic staff regarding availability and conflicts of facilities. Liaison with Events and Conference Services and Coppermine LLC for scheduling external events and maintain master calendar of all events. Schedule conference home competitions with CAA.

Supervision: Supervise athletic facilities management staff and Athletics Campus Turf staff. Ensure staff prepared to assist in game day setup, game management and breakdown and assist in scheduling and facility management of all areas. Keep all outdoor venues in optimal playing conditions.

Budget Management: Manage facilities and event management operating budget, investigate costs for facilities improvements and projects, supervise use of turf management budget, forecast replacement plans, ensure purchases and projects follow procurement policies, provide oversight of Sports Complex and TU Arena operating budgets. Work hours may include evenings and weekends depending on competition schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Two years of relevant work experience

Experience managing athletic game day events and athletic facilities

Ability to communicate with coaches, staff, university departments and external clients

Ability to align and execute the university's strategic vision and goals

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

Well organized and able to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment

Strong problem‑solving skills

Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and a commitment to compliance regulations

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sports Management (preferred)
