The property sits in Eddy Street Commons, directly across from the University of Notre Dame, in a lively college town that blends university energy with a welcoming city atmosphere. Responsibilities
Target and solicit new catering business through lead generation, face-to-face prospecting, and relationship referrals Design, develop, and sell creative catered events Develop existing business to uncover additional revenue opportunities Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food & beverage Respond to incoming catering opportunities Perform site visits, both scheduled and on-demand Assist with forecasting all revenue catering revenue categories Participate in the development and implementation of the vanity site for weddings Handle customer compliments and complaints through distribution and resolution Stay on top of industry trends, making recommendations to the sales and catering teams Work closely with the Event Manager to ensure all event details are communicated Travel primarily outside the hotel to initiate new sales, solicit leads, hold conferences and make sales proposals and presentations Determine rates and negotiate contracts Qualifications
1+ years of sales management experience within the hospitality industry A positive attitude and strong communication skills A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service A team-oriented mindset while also being a self-starter A genuine passion for proactively targeting and securing social business Sales experience within the hotel industry is advantageous Catering Sales Management experience with a focus on weddings is advantageous Familiarity with Delphi.fdc is advantageous A passion for sales and a drive to achieve targets and objectives Degree-level qualification in a relevant field is advantageous Proven experience in negotiations Benefits
