Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and fosters student engagement and a cohesive, effective curriculum. Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and meet the needs of all learners. Communicate clear learning targets and success criteria to students for all learning activities. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. Develop formative and summative assessments in accordance with established procedures. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies. Maintain accurate records of student progress as required by laws and school policies. Communicate with parents regularly regarding their child’s academic and behavioral progress. Ensure safety and security of students in classrooms and common areas. Supervise students during various school activities (e.g., field trips, assemblies) and assist with carpool and dismissal procedures. Attend parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, faculty meetings, and substitute in one class per week as needed. Supervise lunch and recess periods. Stay up-to-date on current educational trends to continually improve teaching practices. Qualifications

Dedication to creating a nurturing and challenging learning environment for students. Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a lower school setting. Valid teaching certification preferred. Strong knowledge of pedagogical practices and learning theories.
