Open Rank Faculty in Immunology Location: Augusta University Full Time Job Summary: The Medical College of Georgia, Immunology Center of Georgia at Augusta University is looking for a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to serve as an established immunologist. Research interests can be in cancer immunology, autoimmune disease, vascular immunology, leukemia/lymphoma immunology, and in immunology research areas including T cell biology, checkpoint inhibitors, engineered immune cells of any type, antigen presentation and DC biology: ADCC, Fc receptors, complement, monocyte and macrophage biology. Responsibilities
Funding – 75%: Expected to maintain continuous NIH funding
Teaching – 10%: Expected to train graduate students and postdocs and possibly teach advanced Immunology course
Service – 10%: Participate on IMMCG & AU committees
Other – 5%: Other duties as assigned by Director
Required Qualifications Ph.D., MD, or Ph.D./MD or equivalent from an accredited college or university
Assistant Professor – Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training
Associate Professor – Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent
Professor – Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Associate Professor or equivalent
Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:
Consistent with SACSCOC requirements for institutional accreditation
Evidence of ability as a teacher
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned
Successful experience (waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements)
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations
Shift/Salary/Benefits This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment (FTE) is 1.0 (full-time).
Assistant Professor – Salary and compensation commensurate with education, experience and achievements; salary subject to funds availability.
Associate Professor – Salary and compensation commensurate with education, experience and achievements; salary subject to funds availability.
Professor – Salary and compensation commensurate with education, experience and achievements; salary subject to funds availability.

College/Department Information The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation’s largest medical schools by class size. Education is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional campuses across Georgia, and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG partnerships provide about 350 sites for clinical experience; postgraduate education for more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 ACGME-approved programs. Research areas include cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences, public health, regenerative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Physician faculty also support about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.
