Overview

The remote CTE Business Teacher is a state certified teacher and/or CRE/CTE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The teacher provides instruction, support, and guidance, manages the learning process, and focuses on students’ individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through the learning management system and work with students and parents to advance learning and plan post-secondary success using online tools. The mission of NMDCA is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience through partnerships, a rigorous curriculum, and a data-driven, student-centered instructional model. This is a full-time, remote position. Typical work hours are defined by the school (often 9-5 or 8-4) with the ability to work independently from a home office. Responsibilities

Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students Personalize learning for all students Differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels Augment course content according to policies using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from principal and coach Maintain grade book, monitor student progress, make placement decisions, and alert administrators to concerns Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests Establish and maintain positive rapport with families; communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom Apply knowledge of State, National, and industry standards Develop instructional tools to enhance curriculum Collaborate with school and professional learning communities Administer and proctor assessments where applicable Serve as Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization Support creating business and industry partnerships for work-based learning experiences Support project-based learning Travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and/or as required Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree Active state teaching license Ability to clear required background check Certifications & Licenses

New Mexico Career Technical Education Teaching Certification required CTE Business endorsement If current CTE certification is from another state, provide proof of New Mexico license application within 7 days of start; obtain approved NM teaching license within 90 days Residency

New Mexico residency is preferred. Remote role; candidates in other states (including Washington, DC) may be considered. Minimum & Other Qualifications

Ability to work with data to drive instructional decisions (numeric, tabular, graphic representations) Willingness to receive coaching regularly from administrators and trainers Adaptability to change to ensure student outcomes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Ability to learn new technologies and teaching platforms quickly Maintain teaching certification and ongoing professional development; familiarity with K12 systems and curriculum Desired Qualifications

Experience with the target age group Experience helping adults and students use technology Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar setting Experience with online learning platforms Compensation & Benefits

Salary range is anticipated to be $55,000–$75,000 per year. Offers are typically in the bottom half of the range and based on education, experience, location, and other factors.
