to join their team in Houston, TX. The Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Director will lead a team to manage and optimize all activities associated with company’s health and safety program. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization. – A key player in the natural gas value chain, the company’s products support critical infrastructure across the U.S. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all occupational safety and health program elements and activities to achieve safety goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency and corporate requirements. Communicate HSE performance and emerging trends to the executive leadership team and lead the development and execution of mitigation strategies to reduce and prevent incidents. Lead efforts in implementing Hazard Reduction and Injury Prevention Projects across the enterprise. Ensure 100% compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Drive improvements in the organization’s HSE culture, awareness, and accountability, serving as a role model for HSE leadership. Ensure all Cooper sites understand and comply with terms and conditions of all chemical, regulatory, and environmental permits. Conduct incident/accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans. Measure and maintain HSE metrics (Incidence & Injury rate, First Aid Cases, Near Misses, Concern Reporting, Training Completion, Stop Work Cases). Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies concerning all HSE issues. Stay informed about regulatory changes and trends and forecast organizational impacts. Engage and coach operations leaders to successfully manage their HSE leadership responsibilities. Oversee Risk & Case Management organization in support of Operations. Preferred Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Science from an accredited university or college; Advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of HSE experience with at least 2 years in the oil and gas industry. CSP certification preferred. Ability to develop and implement HSE programs and achieve measurable goals. Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to lead, train, and motivate teams. Demonstrated leadership skills to drive change and create a positive safety culture.
